Katie Steenberg

Katie, a Reno native, was a preschool teacher for nine years in South Reno. Her passion in early childhood education has taken her to new heights in her preschool endeavors.
Katie is a member of NAEYC, NevAEYC and Green Schools Alliance.
Katie has a Bachelor's degree in art from the University of Nevada, Reno, has taken masters level courses in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.
Katie believes in developmentally appropriate practice, instilling a love of learning and passion for discovery, and giving children the confidence to ask questions about their community. Katie also believes the health and well-being of humanity is the bigger picture and that learning how to care for ourselves and our planet should start with the youngest learners.
Katie created Pinion Early Education Center out of her passion for early childhood education and love for our planet Earth.
